We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unfinished time before now ( in the past) BUT there is a result now, at the present.
Ex. I have just broken a vase. ——–> Result – a broken vase.
The exact time is not important. We CAN use the Present Perfect with unspecific expressions such as:
ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet, just, this week/month/year, today.
Unfinished Time Before Now
- + I have broken a vase.
- – I haven’t broken a vase.
- ? Have you broken a vasa?
